I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT "TYPE-MOON" IS ABOUT. I might go there if you guys can tell me what tech and goodies I can get that would actually justify the visit and convince me to go there. Plus, regardless of its light amount of lore, I just don't find that that game would be interesting to write about, since it's basically just TF2 done Blizzard-style. Overwatch is leagues behind what the SI has in terms of tech, to my knowledge. ![]() Namely, they focus more on the humans than the giant fucking robots that the series/movies are named after! While the Bay movies do have a lot of interesting tech - such as the "Star Eater" thing from the second movie, the Cube, the whole "dimensional portal that brings fucking Cybertron itself right next to Earth" thing, and the programmable matter/the "Seed" bomb that turned everything for kilometers into metal - I don't feel like I could write neither the characters well nor the action without having some kind of contempt for the horrific, bastardized imitation that Bay created. To me, the Bayformers are heresy and a mockery of what Transformers is supposed to be about. POSSIBLY won't do anything related to Bayformers, since I actually remember the original G1, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, and what-not Transformers series. Unless all of the old movies take place in the same universe/timeline, in which case LOTS of goodies/tech/magic/bio-tech to yoink - such as the Witch's Curse, Zombie Island, Cyber Chase, or whatever). Scooby-Doo (As much as I think that that's a funny idea, the fact that the SI would instantly unravel the mystery and just constantly say "X did it by Y!" The Mystery Gang probably wouldn't appreciate him doing that, and it'd pretty much be just a two or three chapter universe. I'm going to list the ones I probably won't do, considering that.well, it'd be a damn-near insta-curbstomp if the SI, Alt, or Venator appeared there, since all they'd have to do is along the lines of either "Nanomachines, son!" or "Pew pew, you're dead." I'll be all back to normal come morning, do don'tcha worry, dear readers! An Exhausted Nova is an Ornery Nova, and an Ornery Nova is an Unpleasant Nova. One last thing for this post: Disregard any insulting or rude or angry stuff in this. I write this at 11:50 PM EST after getting maybe 6 hours of sleep and waking up at around.7:00 AM.įeel free to tell me what you think about Relyt's (and sorta my) idea, people! I keep on asking for reader input, BUT YOU FUCKERS RARELY DO IT. So don't get all butthurt or whatever if I don't visit your special snowflake universe. Trying to write about a setting I don't know anything about is a recipe for disaster. ![]() It'd be a fucking horrible idea for me to write about something like.Gundam when I have no fucking clue about anything that went on in ANY of the 100+ Gundam series that have been made. I say the above NOT because I just don't want to do it or cuz I'm lazy. Otherwise, it is highly unlikely - if impossible - that I would have the SI, Alt, or Venator go to those universes. So, if any of you want to suggest settings for me to write about, know that I'll likely only do them if I've already watched/played/read them. If you suggest stuff like Stargate, Worm, DUNE, the Xeelee shit, or other shit like that, then there is NO WAY IN HELL that I'm ever going to do them, because (A) I just don't feel like I'd enjoy writing about those universes and (B) I've never watched or read about any of those, nor will I ever because of the time it would take. For example: I've been thinking about doing Macross for a while, and I recently got to episode 30 of the original series, though I have six more episodes left before I'm (to my knowledge) done with the first series. Though, keep in mind, I'll have to do a LOT of research on the settings you suggest before I ever even think of writing about it.
